Our merit leader maintain his command of the numero uno position thanks to his runner-up finish in the BMMJ masters. Thus, Hj Shahbudin has been number one for January, February and March.... Well done
Handicap has gone from 19 to 17... mikin kuat ohh...

BMMJ Masters - Abd. Latif farewell
The game coincided with a farewell for our dear friend from the Petroleum Unit, Abdul Latif Abdul Rahman who will end his secondment to BLNG and return back to the P.U on 1st April 2010.
On behalf of the players, I would like to wish Abdul Latif every success in his return to the government and look forward to see him on the greens and fairways fairly soon. (Hint: Lapas raya ambil cuti Tuan, ada uwar-uwar golf trip tu....)
BMMJ Masters - Bahreen wins major and breaks duck
After coming so close in previous games, yours truly carded an 82 gross - 72 nett to beat Hj Shahbudin OCB... although he could and should have won if not masuk air on the 18th...

After all the talk, negotiation, emails.. I am sure a lot of people were waiting for this day to happen.. history is created.. Orang pencen jadi ATM...

In the words of Hj Zairin...
Awal2 on 1st Tee-box Hj Dua sudah mengagar "Awu semua ku kalahkan ni karang”.....
GShahbudin kuat oiiii.... pars all first 4 holes, recording shot of the day on Hole no. 2. Tee-shot on 2 hole masok dalam gaung and 3rd shot baru keluar. And 4th shot landed 2 feet below hole and par.
Hj Dua never really a threat on Saturday - Hole 16 – Par 3 is the downfall & collapse of Hj Dua – scored 9 and the following hole.
ATM for the day.
In the words of Hj Shahbudin...
After 1st two Tee offs, flew cutting across selekoh on Par 5 , Saudara mecakap ‘ Ani ku suka ni tee off yang jauh2 ani’.
Then he aimed left in direction of green cutting across tress. Suddenly Tee off inda jalan masuk hutan. From the 3rd (re Take) shot on the right about 100 mtres to the green, he topped his 4th shot to the green & ball cannoned passed the right bunker & into the slope of the bush at the edge of the green.
He spotted his ball among some dead branches & instead of picking up for a penalty he attempted to hit from the deep rough. Not surprisingly he could not get the ball to fly & landed 1 foot only up the slope. He took another 2 shots to get ot & on the green in 8 for eventual 10 score. The rest is history.. Scrapped...
Attempted to recover with par on Hole 8 and Bogey on Hole 9. But triple on Hole 10 did not help until disaster on 16th completely eliminate his chances or recovering & beating his long time opponent Hj Zairin.... Better luck & less arrogant next time...

After so many years, Hj Zairin finally slays the ghost which has haunted him... of never beating Hj Dua... Boleh buat doa selamat tu Yoi...
