Eating food offered by opponent - The tradition continues

As well documented in Empire, Bangkok and RBA postings before - Hj Rahim & Mr. 2 became the latest victim of this unique BMMJ tradition.

Story #1
At the Feb MM at PMGC, Hj Rahim was offered Roti kacang hitam (Small bean bread) by eventual winner Hj Samuil. Soon after, Hj Rahim produced scores of 8, 8 and 8 over the next three holes.

Story #2
Also during the same game, Mr. 2 consumed an energy bar produced by "Nature's Valley" given by a member who wish to remain anonymous. Different food, same result.

Story #3
Not sure if I mention this before but during the Eastwood game on 23/2, Hj Zairin offered me a mini Picnic chocolate bar bought in KL where he just returned the night before. This was after a good drive on the 16th hole - subsequently made a triple seven, three putted 17th to go from birdie to bogey and three putted 18th for a double.

Looks like we may have to ban a few more food products...

If you are still not convinced, I welcome you to try at the next game...
Selamat mencuba....

BMMJ #1 all time favourite breakfast dish

As Hj Samuil found out before and Hj Amir more recently, nasi lemak banana leaf is one of the top BMMJ favourite dish. Whether its to start or as we head into the back nine turn, you cannot go wrong with your nasi lemak to ensure you are fully focused on your opponent and not your stomach.

Ghosts on the golf course? Affandy's third shot is placed on a tee

Based on true story.

Initially, I'm a little hesitant to tell the story but need to say that these things exists in Brunei. Though I'm not sure of other courses around the region.

The 'incident' occured during the Khun Ali farewell golf. As the group of Affandy, Walid etc were finishing off their round, Affandy noticed his ball was teed up by some strange 3rd party possibly unknown to man.

Barangkali, this supernatural being could be a golfer himself who's last wish before he died must have been to be buried at a golf course.

Believe it or not.

Saturday social game: Hj Samuil slam dunks the opposition

Summary (gross) RBA golf club 5th March
Hj Samuil - 77
Bahreen - 83
Hj Shahbudin - 90
Yusof H.J - 91
Mr. 2 - 93
Walid - 118

Nazrul and Hj Rahim un-recorded

Sam's good form looks like it will continue to March with a superb 77 (with two birdies). Shahbudin and myself tried every trick in the book to put him off but failed. His chipping and putting 'beracun'

Only managed to shake him off once when I made a comment about the roof of RBA's club house which resulted in a miss short putt. Other than that, Sam's game was flawless.

As much as I dislike in admiring an opponent's game as the next person, this time I think he deserves all the praise. Looks like we have another scratch player in the making...

Tapi kalau black tee balum tau...

February Player of the month: Hj Samuil

Well done Sam, mikin tua mikin kuat...Sana sini sudah manang..
Played one under at Mentiri and runner up at Eastwood. Hope you can continue your good form so that handicap pun turun.. hehe

Already booked your place in next year's tournament of champions..
