Luke Donald is new #1

Well done Luke! After coming close to becoming number one over the last few weeks, Donald finally reached the pinnacle of world golf when he was crowned number one after winning the BMW PGA tournament yesterday..

Memang kambang Hj Rahim ni since he also uses MIZUNO irons just like Luke..

Upcoming tournaments at Eastwood: Eastwood classic, Astro Masters, Prudential Open

As Hj Amir said.. "bah siapa berani"

These tournaments normally sell out fast, so better be quick..

Monty sacked by caddie!

Wow.. from the high of being the winning Captain in last year's Ryder cup, now Colin has reached a new low when his caddie, Jason Hempelman left him to carry the bag for Francesco Molinari..

But the scot bounced back superbly with a first top 10 finish at the BMW PGA tournament at Wentworth last weekend.. probably also letting go of around Euro 10,000 typically 10% of the golfer's winning..

Suppose he's thinking "Ketahuan ia caddie atu"

Battle of the Seniors: Hj Zairin Vs Hj Samuil

They will pit themselves against 20 other "veterans" in the Panaga Senior Golf competition on Sunday 22nd May.

Although some may lack teeth, poor hearing, hair and the occasional saying "kalau dulu", i am sure they will compensate it for grit, will power and sheer determination (to finish 18h)

All the best Jang Zairin and Jang Samuil.. (our orang pencen nda mau ikut, believe he doesnt think he is a Senior)

Chiang Mai golf festival

Thailand is known worldwide for its golf tourism blessed with stunning courses, great seafood all at competitive rates. I think most of us have known the Hua Hin golf festival that runs from August to September every year where all golf fees are greatly reduced.

Now, Chiang Mai has joined the bandwagon with its own golf festival with a series of tournaments running until 2nd July. Green fees are a mere 800bht (B$35) for all courses in the area including Lamphun and Chiang Rai.

For more information please go to their website: http://www.chiangmaigolffestival.net

What are you waiting for?

Farewell to a genius..

When I was growing up in the mid to late 80s, just before the RTB news at 7pm there was a countdown that was sponsored by ROLEX. As part of the deal, ROLEX showed a video of Severiano Ballesteros when he made birdie on the last hole at St Andrews to win his second claret jug.

I turned around and told my dad that I wanted to be like him. How could one forget that fist pump? It was simply magnificent..

He was a master of everything.. short game, putting and especially shaping shots into the green. Though I never had the privilege to meet or see Seve in real life, I can appreciate from TV footage and books the positive impact he brought to the game. It was like Picasso with a club..

I believe his first major win in 1980 paved the way for other Europeans to challenge golf's four majors with Faldo, Woosnam, Lyle and Olazabal winning majors soon after.

Very sad to see him leave so soon..

Orang pencen in trouble - ball did not pass ladies tee box

As you all know, the penalty for such action is a jug of the local brew! in this case, Teh Tarik!

Ada apa.. dengan mu.. Haji 2... hehe (Peter Pan song)

Understood he and President were ATM last week... hehe

Thanks to GY for the photos...

Its party time as Hj Amir finally wins!

Preseverance pays off for our Kap Amir as he finally breaks his duck by winning the April Monthly Medal (as declared by President after initially was only Official game) at RBGCC.

Hj Samuil continued his good form with another runner up finish OCB from Juragan Mohamad Damit.

Its been a long wait for Hj Amir to win on the BMMJ tour but im sure he will savour this victory for a long time and hope to see him in the winners circle again soon.
