Oak Hills (Narita, Tokyo) 81 gross... Airbus 380 & Conrad Tokyo (Nice view)

After a bad week during the Baiduri tournament, I was looking for some respite albeit away from Brunei.. Touching down at Narita airport Tokyo last Wednesday from an overnight flight originating in Singapore is hardly the ideal preparation... But as i arrived at Oak Hills and walked out into the practice green I sensed this could be the day i bounced back after the disappointment at RBA.

Was using a rental set (Macgregor with a very light weighing putter)what was most interesting was the remote control cart.. quite a novel idea.. the cart is electronically controlled via a small remote held by the caddie.. so no threat of any incidents unless the remote goes amok...

back to golf, a dream 39 on the front nine banished the RBA episode.. could have been lower but for the ineffective putter - telampau ringan so didnt have any feel for the putter.. a 42 on the back nine including a 250yds drive and i was happy as a boy on first day raya...

p.s Happy Birthday's go out to the cook... and Khun Ali
