New golf course: Thailand and Malaysia

Blue Diamond golf resort (Grand prix golf club)
Situated 2.5hrs drive from Bangkok in Kanchanaburi, is Thailand 's latest golf resort and property development.  It has already taken nearly three years of careful planning and construction, to turn a disused gem mine in Kanchanaburi what will become a first class resort.

The18 hole Championship Golf Course is now ready to play together with on course chalets and clubhouse. The owner, Dr Prachin Eamlumnow, is President of the Grand Prix Group.

This is their first venture into the hospitality and golf industry. The Grand
Prix Group however is well known for their Motor Industry connections,
firstly as organizers of the Bangkok International Motor Show, and as
publishers of several successful Motor Magazines in the country.

Personally, it has to be really good to justify the long trip from Bangkok.

99 East golf Club, Langkawi, Malaysia
Designed by Ross Watson, 99 East Golf Club offers a different golfing experience in Asia, taking many of its design references from Australian and even Scottish links courses.

Long wild grasses and reeds dominate the out of play areas together with the signature rice terraces, both distinctive features of this 7,330 yard championship course that integrates native forest, wetlands and an orchard valley, with views both over the ocean and across the entire island to the west.

The 99 East Golf Club is managed by Troon Golf, one of the world leaders in luxury golf club management. At the moment, only 9 holes are open for play with the balance to be ready by end 2012.

Like GP golf club, 99 EGC is also offering luxury property around the course for sale.
