Wish my Chinese friends and readers a Happy New Year. Hope that this year will bring more joy, health and prosperity.
1. GY collected angpow from nearly all of us as he returned a score of 93 gross and nett 73 to beat Hj Zairin (74 nett) and Yunos Abdullah (75 nett). Happy for you Yoi. The result pushed him up the leaderboard to joint fourth. ALthough Jang Zairin pakai baju and topi maang, was not enough to beat GY.
2. Taking advantage of the long weekend, BMMJ players descended on Eastwood Valley GC in Miri Sarawak. Greens were quick and the hot weather became a factor in some of the players performance as some players were unable to cope with the extreme heat.
3. Hj Shahbudin unfortunately became Jurubayar Agung this weekend as three double pars over the last four holes (#15, #16 & #18) put paid any hope of catching Hj Sam on top of the leaderboard. Fortunately for us, Hj Sam pun buruk main after initially birdieing two of the first three holes.. hehe
4. Signs indicate this will be an exciting year for BMMJ players.
a. The race for BMMJ champion is heating up.
b. Hj Sam's farewell retirement golf trip in Q4 (Jangan saja kerja til 60)
c. BMMJ first Major Tournament in April
d. Healthy turnout at every game
e. Establishment of BMMJ committee
f. Bangkok and Chiangmai trip
Indeed, i look forward to many more birdies, pars, ATM's performance & foreign trips in the coming months and years ahead.
